Sr. Software Developer
We are looking for talented software engineers with guts. We are an early stage start-up building a small team of strong, experienced engineers. Our team will be focused on building great software that revs fast and works with leading open source projects.We want people who are interested in solving hard problems, but are also interested in changing the world. If you're the type of person who likes understanding what's going on "under the hood" of many of the software products that major applications are built on, and agrees with the values promoted by Open Source, we're interested in talking to you.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have over 7 years commercial development experience.
- Be proficient in C/C++ and/or Java.
- Strong knowledge of Perl, Python + PHP are a strong plus.
- Have enthusiasm for Open Source and learning about new Open Source projects.
- Strong ability to learn quickly, as well as a desire to learn about many new projects.
- Strong understanding of some of the following topics:
- Compilers
- Code Instrumentation
- Databasesv
- J2EE
- Pattern matching/AI concepts
- Debuggers
- Performance testing and tuning
