In my oppinion those strength which make Debian preferable for such a project are: - It's easy to integrate software into Debian: Just apply as package maintainer and upload it. Even (older) kids could do that. No dependence of a distributor in terms of package selection. - Keeps /usr/local clean (because you can build packages - see above) which makes the system easy to maintain -> big need for systems which are in the hand of children which might wish to become root :). - and not to forget: apt-get ;-) - also don't forget: it's free :). > > * Special features/strengths? > > We will have a cool logo ;-) > Or should be my notes listed here? > > * Special problems? With a Debian system? Is there anybody who had any problem with his Debian system ;-)?
