XSoldier is a very fast 2-D shoot-em-up game similar to Galaxians and other space games.
The ship has side to side and limited up and down movement as various ship come down from the top. There are also various power-ups ammo types to be caught as well. After the current wave of ships has passed, a mother ship comes down and has to be defeated as well to move to the next level. Each level presents more types of ships to fight and the difficulty increases as well. The down-sides are: 1) It can be more memory-hungry than other games. The response is sluggish under 16M of memory. 2) It requires 1024 X 768 to fit on the screen. Aside from those two drawbacks, it is a fast-paced, engaging and enjoyable game for many age groups. My 11 Year old Daughter has great fun playing it, when she can get me away from it : )
