Hmm, the upstream source has a date stamp from 21. Nov 2000 and latest CVS entries are 8 month old (real minor changes). Its a shame but the Debian maintainer might be correct :-(.

May be the upstream maintainer has lost interrest and/or has no time because of changing job or something else. In my opinion it needs a list with more people reading it (perhaps some GTK+ related list) to ask for a new maintainer of this fine software. Could please someone step in here and take over itself or at least find a way to tell the world that this program needs a push. It would be really sad if this w not be developed further! > Please see http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/gpaint > > Also, I have the diffs for the old abandoned package if anyone wants > them. Please make sure that they will not vanish at all. Where there any open bugs. Why not set Maintainer to Debian QA Group <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. It is not necessary to drop the package at all if it is bug free. Kind regards Andreas.
