Dear Dave, What you have done was stupid, because this Mailinglist is public and mirrored public on various Websites. And more, you will find this Messages on the NEWS servers because there is a Mail-To-NEWS gateway
Because you have written your E-Mail public, maybe you will get the same amount SPAM. Oh yes, I am using my E-Mail since many years and get between 4000 and 8000 SPAMs per day on this account. And, because I like my E-Mail I use spamassassin to filter it for SPAM and I have no stress, changing all two weeks my E-Mail-Address.
