It is with much pleasure that we announce the winner of the Debian Jr. Logo Contest. Her name is Anna Kamenova Raleva from Varna, Bulgaria. Message of Ben Armstrong, Debian Jr. project lead: While out of all of the creative submissions I considered four of them as contenders, after careful consideration of how well each met all of our criteria, I finally settled on this one, which coincidentally also has the popular vote: http://www.debianart.org/cchost/?ccm=/debianjrlogocontest/files/Anna/220 The flower logo is an appealing piece of art both to adults and children, associates easily with children both directly and symbolically, does not appeal only to a narrow age range, identifies strongly with the Debian project through use of the original swirl and font, and is a simple, versatile and easy to reproduce design. All around, this logo stands out as the best of the submissions. Congratulations, Anna! To the rest of the participants, thanks for the thought and work you put into all of your submissions.
