Please re-read what I have written above. I have clearly acknowledged what you have just re-stated for the woody case so there is no misunderstanding on my part. The potato case is different from the woody case, however. Potato awe-drv was so old that it's sxfload doesn't work with SB Live so I *had* to download the latest tarball. All these woody versus potato details are important, but still a minor side issue compared to the principal point of putting the correct sound font loading information in a micro HOWTO on the kde debian site. Are you willing to do that if I write it? Once you confirm everything on woody, I can refine what I have written so far to include that case as well, htmlize it, and send it to you, but I am not going to do that work without some positive indication from you that you think it would be a worthwhile addition to your site.
