i've read all related postings to [email protected] (archive december) and tried out 'update-alternatives' and so on. But i still can no longer login as user (as root is working from console and kdm) to KDE 2.1 (potato/woody box). Perhaps it has to do with update to XFree86 4.0.1pre2?! I don't know. Sorry, but at the moment i have no plan and no access to newsgroups and mails under linux!
With the 'update-alternatives' now kde trys to start from console, but the error message is the same (translated in english):
"A problem has occured while the configuration between the communication of KDE-processes. The message of the system is:
networkldsList argument is NULL
Please confirm, that the program 'dcopserver' is running."
