I have yet to successfully connect with kppp - I use wvdial without problems, and when using kppp with the same settings I get through authentication and and then get the message "The pppd daemon died unexpectedly! Exit status 1" I have not been able to get logging to work for kppp, although it seems to work fine for my serial port connections, so I don't have a log of what happens. When I try to connect using kppp mini-terminal I get the following:
