        As far as I understand, anti-aliasing only works with scalable
        fonts in general and true type fonts in particular. This I can
        understand and is acceptable.

        What *is* a problem in my eyes, though is that if you enable
        anti-aliasing, then your KDE/qt applications won't be able to
        use non-scalable fonts. :-(
