Sorry to be rude, but please use a *cat* command in an *xterm*. If it doesn't work there, then I might help you. PS: is there a reliable way to simply disable KDE from doing *anything* with the keyboard, but letting the X server do this work ? I use XKbDisable, but maybe that's a bit rude, too.
