i have exactly the same problem, kdelibs3 appeared to remove crypto
apt-get install kdelib3-crypto says that kdelibs >= 2.1.2 is needed
and apt-get install kdelibs3 says the latest version is already installed
(2.2)

Using konqueror under KDE 2.2, I can no longer access HTTPS sites. For
instance, when I attempt to access https://sourceforge.net the following
error is reported:
kio (KRun): ERROR: 0x83aa200 ERROR 23 Could not connect to host
I'm behind a firewall, and have HTTP/HTTPS/FTP proxies set (these work with
Netscape, and worked with konqueror-2.1.1). Various version numbers:
ii kdebase 2.2.0-final-1 KDE core applications
ii kdebase-crypto 2.2.0-final-1 KDE core applications (Crypto modules)
ii kdelibs3 2.2.0-final-1 KDE core libraries (runtime files)
ii kdelibs3-crypt 2.2.0-final-1 KDE core libraries (Crypto Modules)
ii libssl0.9.6 0.9.6b-1 SSL shared libraries
Anyone else having similar problems?
