I've had a similar problem, or perhaps several similar problems: a) Sometimes I hit logout, it pops up the confirmation dialog, I hit ok, and then it just sits there as if I were still logged in. In fact, all the objects on the desktop still work. Then if I click logout a second time, and click ok, it logs me out. b) Other times, I click logout, and the dialog pops up, but the windows on my screen seem to oscillate between being focused and unfocused. This especially seems to happen when I have licq running (I figure that maybe since it's not "pure" KDE it doesn't understand sessions well?) The flickering can be brief or can go on for 10 seconds or more. I'm not sure what would happen if I OKed the logout; whenever that happens I click cancel and then close licq and any other apps I think might be misbehaving, and then logout, which works fine. Also, what's the difference between ~/.kde/Autostart and ~/.kde/share/autostart? And ~/autosave? -- Stay fuzzy... save the world... choices! Eric Christopherson, a.k.a.
