Karolinas debs doesn't seem to use libsmbclient.so but instead uses smbclient (bad).
I was just looking over the kdebase sources and as far as I can see, all that is needed to get this working is to have the libsmbclient-dev package installed when you compile kdebase. Have anybody tried this? Anders E. Andersen
