I don't know why this happens. It is a "feature" that debian assumes a deleted conffile should not be replaced, and does not even warn about it. But it appears to be a bug that debian occasionally deletes a conffile on its own. If I just knew under what circumstances debian does that. I have been thinking about ways to ensure that does not happen, but as the transition goes to SID now with another packaging, I have not bothered too much. Karolina
