I think that a newbie should use tasksel and not apt for installing KDE. So It would be better to lobby for a KDE-Workstation task in tasksel that would automatically install X before KDE than creating dependencies in the packages. Cheers, Charles -- [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.kde-france.org
