Hello After upgrading from 3.0.5a to 3.1 I have font problems.
When I start konqueror from the command-line I get these messages: " FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/share/fonts/truetype//win' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/share/fonts/truetype//commercial' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/share/fonts/truetype//xfree86-nonfree' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/share/fonts/truetype//larabie-deco' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/share/fonts/truetype//freefont' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/share/fonts/truetype//larabie-straight' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/share/fonts/truetype//larabie-uncommon' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/share/fonts/truetype//thryomanes' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType//larabie-straight' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType//larabie-deco' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType//larabie-uncommon' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType//commercial' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType//larabie-straight' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType//larabie-deco' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType//larabie-uncommon' FT_Stream_Open: could not `mmap' file `/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TrueType//commercial' bitBlt: Incompatible destination pixmap FT_Stream_Open: could not open `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1//verdana.ttf' FT_Stream_Open: could not open `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1//verdana.ttf' FT_Stream_Open: could not open `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1//verdana.ttf' FT_Stream_Open: could not open `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1//verdana.ttf' FT_Stream_Open: could not open `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1//verdana.ttf' FT_Stream_Open: could not open `/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1//verdana.ttf' bitBlt: Incompatible destination pixmap bitBlt: Incompatible destination pixmap Just before the fontname there is a second / Is that normal? The fonts are installed on the correct places. That slash is probably comming from the fontpath which is: Font Path: /data1/home/johnny/.kde/share/fonts/override,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/:unscaled,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi/:unscaled,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/Speedo,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/75dpi,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc,/data1/home/johnny/.kde/share/fonts In that case the fontpath are not correct in the Xconfig-4 file. I'will try a adjustment of this file. Is this a bug? Thanks for any help -- Johnny Geling Willem Coosemansstraat 152 3010 Leuven +32 485 75 71 88
