Hi, just to confirm that the problem came from /etc/hosts in my case too ! And you might be surprised to see the case:
This crashes kdeprinter: 127.0.0.1 localhost.linuxbogus.com localhost uranyl tower This does not 127.0.0.1 uranyl localhost localhost.linuxbogus.com tower whoever knows why ..
