problem:duplicate links in program tabs

hi i am using debian kde desktop.in one of my recent installations,i am facing a problem; from the panel 'K',i am able to go to various options like Development,Editors etc.but in next tab say when i am opening Development, i find two links each to Kdevelop,Kompare and the same thing appears in all tabs. also both the links work properly-i.e i can open Kdevelop by clicking any of the two links. but i wanna remove each duplicate links.may i request help/guidance to sort out the above. thankx samkupar
