This doesn't happen all of the time, though. I can sometimes get these
things to work again by switching to Icon View and then back. But then I
can only travel through a few directories before these problems crop up
again. Icon and Multicolumn Views don't seem affected.
Has anyone else seen this?
I have seen at least your second problem. I started using konqueror in
split view as an FTP client since gftp is very clumsy in the bookmark
department. I can usually get the move (using mouse drag) to work by
finding the right place on the target window. When possible I aim for
the directory in the target view.
