I am planning to re-install my Knoppix/Debian system. (I neglected to make a boot disk the first time...)
My problem is this: What is a good method of "backing up" my system so that I can restore it to the same condition? My solution was to copy the files: /etc/fstab,/etc/lilo.conf,/etc/apt/sources.list to my home directory. Also, I would direct a "dpkg -l" to my home directory. Does anyone have any better ideas?
