I would recommend to copy the applications.menu file to another location
(for backup purposes), then run apt-get install --force-overwrite 
/var/cache/apt/archives/kdelibs-data_4%3a3.4.0-0pre4_all.deb 

Then look at the differences between the files, and merge the
differences (vimdiff rules!)
