Hi Arnout, If you are interested, I compiled kdebase and kdepim for i386 using tars from ftp.kde.org and packaging info from svn.debian.org.
You can find my packages at http://proba.jussieu.fr/pageperso/boutilli/test/debian/ (this repository should be apt-get-able).
