Hello folks,
I've got a weird problem, which I can't seem to find a solution for:
After starting KDE 4 (startx), the panel (plasma I think it's called?) takes
more than 10 minutes to show up.
Also, during this time, I see that there are a ton of accesses to the
filesystems handled by my automount daemon (eg my cd drives, and my NAS
mounts). I have no idea if this is related or not. Shutting down automount
prior to starting KDE4 has no impact on the start time.
While waiting for plasma, I can start applications I have shortcuts defined
for, but that's it. Luckely xterm is one of those, so I can still go ahead and
do some work.
anyone any idea how i could diagnose/fix this?
