Hello,
I assume that many Debian users will upgrade from KDE 3.5.10 to KDE 4.x with
the release of squeeze. I want to go through this process in a few days.
Are there already instrucitons how to do that?
Is there already a list of apps which do not upgrade smoothly/automatically?
Is there something I should take special care of and report it to improve the
upgrade process for other users?
Many thanks,
Rainer
I upgraded my Lenny to Squeeze before few month and everything was ok
unless something with graphic (looks like 8 or 16 bit) but last xorg
update improved that.
There was 2 minor things I lost lots of icons in menu specially in
Debian sub menu but that's is not so important because you have the
names of app and some update manage all icons accept in Debian submenu.
Second thing is when i open Konqueror there in not "Storage media
(system:/)", there is only "Home folder", "Trash", "Network folders" and
"My bookmarks".
If you want "Menu editor" put right mouse on "K" start and choose "Menu
editor"
You can do it by installing "kde-full" package. After that follow the
wizard.
