The problem I had wasn't instability, it was halved performance and some very strange issues in 3D programs, like Quake Live. I posted about it on their forums: http://www.quakelive.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34946 I wasn't the only one who reported worse performance and other problems, but a downgrade fixed it...
