Unfortunately I cannot say this about my experience with KDE SC 4.7.4. Most annoying of all bugs is Plasma crashing on virtual desktop switch, which happens every few minutes if you use desktops extensively: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=286353 If you are not going to update packages to KDE SC 4.8, you should at least include a patch for this bug.
