and the issue seems to be fixed with kwallet-pam 5.12.1-3
Just installed that version and the problem indeed went away.
While the bug was reported with an OpenBox install, I noticed the issue today
as well on my KDE/Plasma session (before I installed -3).
I can confirm it happens on plasma session (3 different machines).
killing kwalletd5 and then launching kwalletmanager fixes it for me, but
I had to re-enter passwords for every wifi/vpn connections on all of the
three computers. Well, that is what you get for running Sid ! ;-)
