So I opened ~/.config/okularpartrc

and I deleted the 2 following sections:

[Dlg Accessibility] which was containing something about background colors (I 
should have taken 
more notes, but I've been confused at some point)

[Document] which had 2 lines, one mentioning "paper", and another containing a 
color.

And then I reopened the document, which I've closed before the beginning of the 
operation,
And "voila", trim margin working again.

I'll add all that to the bug mentioned above.
