Package: base
Severity: normal
When plugging a USB memory stick from Tiny Disk of 256 MB, the whole
system freezes after few seconds (keyboard and mouse do not respond any more).
It happens on sarge here, and also on knoppix at work,
but seems to work under woody. First I thought it was an hotplug bug,
but even with the usb-storage modules loaded only, it continues to
crash. Using USB1 or USB2 doesn't matter. But my digital camera, a
FujiFIlm 4800 perfectly works (I can transfer the pictures to my
computer without problem via USB). Below is my hardware configuration :
- ASUS P4P800
- P4 2.6 GHz HT
- 1 Gig PC3200
