Bug#275302: kernel-image-2.6.8-1-686-smp: scsi module does not get loaded in initrd

There are several bug reports about initrd
failing to load sata or scsi drivers.

Does it boot if you add the module name of
the missing driver to /etc/mkinitrd/modules
and rebuild your initrd (e.g. by reinstalling
the kernel package)?
