Under 2.6, when I have i82365 and orinoco_cs in /etc/modules, lsmod shows that yenta_socket is not loaded. "cardctl ident" says:
Socket 0:

cs: unable to map card memory!
no product info available
cs: unable to map card memory!
cs: unable to map card memory!

When I kill cardmgr and run "cardctl ident" again, it gives the same results.

Is PCIC set to yenta_socket in /etc/default/pcmcia? What if you change
it to i82365?

Yes. When I changed it to i82365 and removed i82365 and orinoco_cs from /etc/modules, everything worked fine in both 2.4 and 2.6.

On a side note, I uploaded a new version of pcmcia-cs two days ago
which should hopefully set PCIC to i82365 on your hardware. It should
at least have made it into the sid_di daily images by now.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.
