Package: initrd-tools
Version: 0.1.72
Severity: normal

On powerpc/pegasos, and possibly also on prep and chrp-rs6k boxes, the at kbd
drivers are built modular. This is no major problem since debian-installer
fills the needed modules (i8042, serio, atkbd) in the /etc/modules.

But, as i recently noticed, these modules are not loaded yet if there is a
fsck that needs user interaction on the root filesystem.

So, i believe that in this cases, it would be best to always include them in
the initrd.

No idea how to search for them though, as i feel that on x86 and other such
arches, those drivers are builtin the kernel.

Maybe it would be best to check for arch/subarch like it is done in the earlt
d-i initrd, and add the modules accordyingly.

Friendly,

Sven Luther
