Package: kernel-patch-debian-2.4.27 Version: 2.4.27-7 Severity: important The debian kernel patches are installed with permissions 600 instead of 644 making it impossible for a normal user to use the patches and most people do not compile their kernels as root. Since the patch files had the correct permissions in 2.4.27-5 and the change occurred in 2.4.27-6 without mention in the changelog I suspect it was an accidental oversight.
