hello, I have a similar problem with the newest sarge (20050515)om a Dell 2850. But all seems to be good. The megaraid2 should be loaded from the initrd. Only the module megaraid2 is not included in the /lib/modules/2.6.8-2-686 path.
Mkinitrd -o /boot/initrd.img-2.6.8-2-686 2.6.8-2-686 from a running 2.4.27 Kernel shows the error "FATAL: Module megaraid2 not found". (because it is not in the lib-path) Mybe caused by the same reason it is not possible to install sarge on that Dell 2850 with "linux26" or "expert26". Only the 2.4... kernel is installable. Is megaraid2 replaced by megaraid in the 2.6 kernel? Which function says that megaraid2 is to load in the 2.6 kerel??
