Package: kernel Severity: normal This bug report applies at least to kernel-image-2.6.11-1-686. I'm not sure if other kernels are affected.
This bug is a regression from kernel-image-2.6.10-1-686. The mouse is Logitech Optical USB mouse. The mouse device the X Server uses is "/dev/input/mice". The problem is, my X server "loses" the mouse after a random amount of time. There's nothing in the log files about this. The light of the mouse is still on then. What it doesn't lose is the touchpad. There are two ways to get it working again: - unplug and replug the mouse - restart the gpm The biggest problem for me is to reproduce this bug, because "random amount of time" is between 10 minutes and some hours. As far as I remember, gpm is also losing the mouse. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
