Hi,
I am not sure why this was reassigned, nor why this is
considered a bug. The upstream kernel Makefile installs the build and
source symbolic links, and they are valid on a subset of
installations (where the target machine is the same as the build
machine). For the rest of the machines, the invalid symbolic links
are removed, so this is the best of both worlds.
