Package: linux-image-686-pae
Version: 3.10+51
Severity: wishlist

Shouldn't some warning be given upon attempting to install on machines
where /proc/cpuinfo lacks pae?

Although the logic for PAE is present, the manufacturing tests for the
chip probably didn't cover it.  I would neither recommend using PAE on
a processor where it's not officially supported, nor try to prevent
users from taking that risk.

That's why we can't and won't script this check.

Ben.
