After several package upgrades in debian stretch, resume from hibernate does no longer work at all on my system.
Now I'm on a more recent kernel than the one I had when I originally reported this bug: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ solitone@alan:~$ uname -a Linux alan 4.9.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.6-3 (2017-01-28) x86_64 GNU/Linux ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If I hibernate from the default graphical target, I don't get a usable session after the system resumes. I just get an emtpy black screen with the white cursor on it, but nothing happens. I can't even switch to a virtual console with crtl +alt+F<n>. In contrast, when I hibernate from the multi-user target (i.e. not from graphical mode), resume does end up with a working console session, although the wifi adapter does not work, and unloading/reloading the kernel module doesn't work either.
