   * What led up to the situation? Installation of PDC20376 sata controller and 
2tb WD green disks
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?  WD 2TB "GREEN" disks not detected ("assuming NODEV" on the 
probe).  Smaller (160-250G), non-green WD & seagate drives are ok.
      Disks function ok when attached to sata_svw device (mac internal 
controller).
   * What was the outcome?  Disks do not appear as devices (in /dev) so can't 
be seen by fdisk, gparted etc when attached to pdc controller.
    
   * What outcome did you expect instead? Devices should have been detected and 
/dev populated.
