Package: linux
Version: 3.8.13-1

I am seeing a problem with the "Intel Corporation Centrino Advanced-N
6235 [8086:088e]" card in my laptop. I think it is the same problem
reported in

  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/836250

When connected to a particular access point using 802.11n I get
frequent disconnects, dropped packets, erratic latency, and slow
data rates.

If I set "options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1" then the device uses 802.11g
and connects at 54Mb/s, and is a lot more usable, but the problem still
happens, just less frequently.

I tested with both the current wheezy kernel
  linux-image-3.2.0-4-686-pae 3.2.41-2+deb7u2
and sid
  linux-image-3.8-2-686-pae 3.8.13-1

While similar, I don't think the below are the same bug, but may be
interesting if the root cause ends up being a particular Access
Point or firmware or something.

  http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=693334
  https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1005832

I have asked the cafe owner if they could update the firmware. If/when
they do I will test again and report back.
Let me know if you want me to do other tests or provide more info.

Thanks,

Hi

This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.

If you can reproduce it with

- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports

please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.

Regards,
Salvatore
