Your message dated Sat, 08 May 2021 08:36:56 -0700 (PDT) with message-id <[email protected]> and subject line Closing this bug (BTS maintenance for src:linux bugs) has caused the Debian Bug report #778342, regarding linux-image-3.16.0-4-amd64: I have located a bug with kernel 3.16. If I boot with linux-image-3.14-2-amd64I can eliminate the problem. What I experience is various slight-hangs: when loading a display manager (lightdm and gdm) and in gnome (but not in xfce) when loading evolution and system settings. Functionally minor but front and center, I suggest this regress needs attention to offer a polished user experience for the official release. to be marked as done.
This means that you claim that the problem has been dealt with. If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith. (NB: If you are a system administrator and have no idea what this message is talking about, this may indicate a serious mail system misconfiguration somewhere.
