I also notice that moving from 2.6.8 to 2.6.12 copying files to my iAudio 5 flas player is extremely slow. It is a USB 2.0 device. I'm using the sync option when mounting too. So it seems like this is a genereal problem and not related to architecture or flash device? Hope the info helps finding the problem...
