Package: linux-cpupower
Version: 4.16.5-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I was running -
$ cpupower frequency-info
analyzing CPU 0:
driver: intel_pstate
CPUs which run at the same hardware frequency: 0
CPUs which need to have their frequency coordinated by software: 0
maximum transition latency: Cannot determine or is not supported.
hardware limits: 800 MHz - 3.30 GHz
available cpufreq governors: performance powersave
current policy: frequency should be within 800 MHz and 3.30 GHz.
The governor "performance" may decide which speed to use
within this range.
current CPU frequency: Unable to call hardware
current CPU frequency: 3.21 GHz (asserted by call to kernel)
boost state support:
Supported: yes
Active: yes
Now as can be seen it says 'current CPU frequency: Unable to call
hardware' but when it is set to performance, then it should tell what
frequency it is using now.
Some info. of the current machine -

Hi
This bug was filed for a very old kernel or the bug is old itself
without resolution.
If you can reproduce it with
- the current version in unstable/testing
- the latest kernel from backports
please reopen the bug, see https://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-control
for details.
Regards,
Salvatore
