Version: 5.14.9-2~bpo11+1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,
after upgrading my NUC7PJYH from Buster to Bullseye my Harmony Remote Control
doesn't work correctly anymore. Only some scancodes are recognized, most are
not.
I managed to narrow it down to the kernel. If I run the same install with 4.19
kernel then everything works fine, but with kernels 5.10 and 5.14 (bpo) I have
problems.
Output with 4.19:
sudo dmesg | grep -i cir
[ 5.430338] ite_cir: Auto-detected model: ITE8708 CIR transceiver
[ 5.430340] ite_cir: Using model: ITE8708 CIR transceiver
[ 5.430341] ite_cir: TX-capable: 1
[ 5.430342] ite_cir: Sample period (ns): 8680
[ 5.430343] ite_cir: TX carrier frequency (Hz): 38000
[ 5.430343] ite_cir: TX duty cycle (%): 33
[ 5.430344] ite_cir: RX low carrier frequency (Hz): 0
[ 5.430344] ite_cir: RX high carrier frequency (Hz): 0
[ 5.585977] rc rc0: ITE8708 CIR transceiver as /devices/virtual/rc/rc0
[ 5.586019] rc rc0: lirc_dev: driver ite-cir registered at minor = 0, raw IR
receiver, raw IR transmitter
[ 5.586063] input: ITE8708 CIR transceiver as /devices/virtual/rc/rc0/input9
[ 5.589994] ite_cir: driver has been successfully loaded
[ 15.186058] input: MCE IR Keyboard/Mouse (ite-cir) as
/devices/virtual/input/input2
Output with 5.14:
sudo dmesg | grep -i cir
[ 4.261650] rc rc0: ITE8708 CIR transceiver as /devices/pnp0/00:01/rc/rc0
[ 4.262588] rc rc0: lirc_dev: driver ite-cir registered at minor = 0, raw IR
receiver, raw IR transmitter
[ 4.262636] input: ITE8708 CIR transceiver as
/devices/pnp0/00:01/rc/rc0/input9
In the 5.x kernels the module ite_cir is not loading, so the MCR IR Keyboard
input is not recognized and the Harmony remote doesn't work. Loading the module
manually doesn't bring anything.

Anonimno
