Bug#1108380: I solved the situation on the command line.

The problem is just that I wasn't aware that the apt install command will
display that packages will not be upgraded and therefore nothing bad will
happen if I run it. I made the update, all is fine including 3D acceleration
and someone can close my bug report as solved.
