Dear Maintainer, I can confirm this bug on MediaTek MT7922 (03:00.0 Network controller: MEDIATEK Corp. MT7922 802.11ax PCI Express Wireless Network Adapter). Broken kernel: 6.12.88+deb13-amd64 (btmtk srcversion: 77A9F0819734D2E124CC5EE) Working kernel: 6.12.86+deb13-amd64 (btmtk srcversion: 3FBB445873F92B59A0135EB) The btusb module srcversion is identical between both kernels, confirming btmtk is the only changed module. dmesg on 6.12.88 (broken): Bluetooth: hci0: Failed to send wmt func ctrl (-22) Bluetooth: hci0: HCI Enhanced Setup Synchronous Connection command is advertised, but not supported. dmesg on 6.12.86 (working): Bluetooth: hci0: Device setup in 2217588 usecs (no wmt func ctrl error) The 6.12.88 changelog includes "Bluetooth: btmtk: Fix failed to send func ctrl for MediaTek devices" which appears to have introduced this regression rather than fixing it on this hardware. -- System Information: Debian Release: 13.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.12.88+deb13-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled
