Package: linux-image-2.6.18-3-686 Version: 2.6.18-8 Severity: normal
I have a Dell PowerEdge 860, and the current stock Debian kernels cannot access /dev/rtc: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~] # hwclock --show select() to /dev/rtc to wait for clock tick timed out This same error occurs when the system is booting. I successfully used the Ubuntu 6.10 (desktop) kernel, booted from CD, to set the system clock, so I know that it is not simply malfunctioning hardware. --Mike -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-3-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
