Bug#426769: gnbd.ko block device not packaged

Hello,
The missing gnbd.ko block device driver renders gnbd package useless. And it 
should be there, with other modules. gnbd is a very important piece of the 
cluster suite.
I tried to use module-assistant, but the redhat-cluster-source package does not 
contain debian/rules.
What could be done?
How create it from the debian Etch packages?
