Hello *, I hope this is the right list.
I'm trying to build a d-i image with a custom kernel (2.6.21.5) following the instructions at http://wiki.debian.org/DebianInstaller/Modify/CustomKernel However when I $ dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot I get: [...] kernel-wedge copy-modules 2.6.21.5 486 2.6.21.5-486 missing module firmware_class command exited with status 1 make: *** [binary-arch] Error 2 My 2.6.21.5 is compiled, installed and running and it had been "oldconfigured" from 2.6.18-4. It includes tg3 which depends on firmware_class, but I assume firmware_class is compiled into the kernel, no as a module, because modprobing it fails (FATAL: Module firmware_class not found). However I don't know what's the kernel option to have it compiled as a module. Besides I'm not even sure that's the real problem. Can anyone help me please?
